Frustrations, complications
Trapped in an okay life
Better than the impoverished and enslaved
Worse than the creative and free
Why does such disparity exist?

Why do evil people crush and exploit others?
When prison is a business
the innocent are swept up to keep the numbers
Not enough people care to stop destruction
of the earth and its people

To hell with clean air or clean water
if it cuts into the bottom line
of over accumulated wealth
hoarded beyond what multiple 
lifetimes could spend

Now we've plastic in our bodies
in our lungs, in our joints
Growing cancers cutting lives short
But, we're distracted by
so many flashy things

Look here, look here
turn a blind eye
and forget
what you saw
